The 13th International Open Workshop on Synchronous Programming took place in L'Alpe d'Huez (France), from Monday November 27th to Friday December 1st. This workshop is devoted to all aspects of synchronous programming: languages, compiling techniques, formal methods, programming environments, execution platforms, semantics issues, code generation...
It is open, meaning that participation is granted to everyone, and that depending on availability, every participant is granted a time slot for an oral presentation (usually 30 minutes to 1 hour).
The workshop took place in Hôtel Le Pic Blanc in l'Alpe d'Huez. The hotel is situated in Quartier des Bergers (number 13 in square M5 of this map). This ski resort is in the french Alps, at a 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Grenoble (66 kms), and 2 hours from the Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport (154 kms). Then, the VFD / Transisère line connects Grenoble to l'Alpe d'Huez: from Grenoble, the bus leaves at 6h50, 10h00, 12h00 (only on Saturdays and Sundays), 14h00, and 18h00; from l'Alpe d'Huez, the bus leaves at 7h15, 7h45, 12h05, 14h10 (only on Saturdays and Sundays), 16h55, and 17h55; note that sometimes there is a stop with a change of bus in Bourg d'Oisans.
